How Q&A Works from Your Side
How Q&A Works from Your Side
This article explains how Q&A is managed for Guest Speakers in Motion Meetings — what questions you will see, how they reach you, and how to handle them during your presentation segment.
How Questions Reach You
As a Guest Speaker, you see a filtered view of the Q&A queue — only the questions that the Selector has specifically directed to you. You will not see all submitted questions or questions intended for other speakers.
The moderation chain is:
- Participants submit questions during your presentation segment.
- Selectors screen and approve the relevant questions, then route them to you specifically.
- Questions appear in your Q&A panel.
Viewing Your Q&A Panel
- Click the Q&A icon in the right-side toolbar of the meeting interface.
- Your Q&A panel shows questions directed to you, in order of priority.
- Each question card shows the question text and (unless submitted anonymously) the submitter's name.

ScreenshotResponding to Questions
- Read the question aloud to your audience before responding (especially for phone and in-person participants who cannot see the screen).
- Give your verbal response in the meeting.
- Click Mark as Answered on the question card to move it to the Answered section and bring the next question forward.
💡 Tip
Coordinate with the organizer before the meeting on how many questions you will take and how much time is allocated. This helps keep the meeting on schedule.
If You Need More Time
If a question requires a more detailed response or you need to look something up, you can:
- Let participants know verbally that you will follow up after the meeting.
- Click Defer to move the question to the bottom of your queue.
- Signal the organizer in the Speaker Room chat if you need more Q&A time allocated.
When Q&A Is Over
The organizer will signal when your Q&A session is complete — either verbally or via the Speaker Room chat. The Selector will stop routing new questions to your queue. Any unanswered questions remain in the system and can be included in the post-meeting Q&A transcript provided to the organizer.
